Choosing where a label goes

When a household has more than one address, Laberty asks which one before the label goes in your tray. One button per address.

Most households have one address, and a label just goes in your tray when you tap it. Some have two or more, such as a lake house and a winter home. Then Laberty asks where.

On the print screen

  1. Tap the label you want, like Couple.
  2. If the household has several addresses, a sheet asks Where does this one go? with a big button for each, named by nickname ("Lake house", "Winter"), and the street underneath.
  3. Tap the one you want. The label goes in your tray, marked with where it's going.

To send the same label to both homes, tap it again and pick the other address. Each address is its own label in the tray. To take one out, tap it again and pick the address that's marked In your labels, or press the x on it in the tray.

The Your labels page shows each label's address in full before you press Print, and the preview shows exactly that address.

Households with a single address don't ask anything. There is no extra tap for them.

With Ask Laberty

If you name the address ("a card for Vern and Carol at the lake house"), Laberty uses it. If you don't, it asks:

Which address: the lake house or Winter?

Tap the button, or say it. Laberty never guesses when there are two, and the print button doesn't appear until you've said. To send to both, say "both". The address carries through to That's right, review and print and to any occasion you ask Laberty to remember.

You can also tell Laberty about a new place: "Ross also has a beach house at 2 Sand Dr". It shows you the address and adds it only when you tap yes.

For admins

  • Admin → Printing: households with several addresses have a Send to menu beside them. The combined PDF and Email a batch both use the address you pick.
  • Admin → Occasions: when you add an occasion for such a household, pick the label and the address together. The daily check prints that occasion for that address every year.
  • Through the API, send address_id with an item to POST /print/email. Households come back from the API with an addresses list.

See Households with more than one address for setting them up.
