Lost access to your account
What to do if you lost your email, your phone or your passkey, and how we help when nothing else works.
Start with what still works
| What you've lost | How to get back in |
|---|---|
| The phone with your authenticator app | Sign in with the email link, then use a recovery code at the code step |
| Access to your email | Use a passkey on a device that has one. Or ask another admin to change your email address |
| The device with your passkey | Sign in with an email link |
| Your recovery codes (you still have your phone) | Sign in, then Generate a new set on the Security page |
| All of the above, or you're the only admin | Contact us |
Changing an email address
An admin can change the email address of any account in your Laberty: go to Admin → Users, type the new address in that person's Email field, and press Save. The next sign-in link goes to the new address.
Members can't change their own address. An admin does it for them.
The best insurance: a second admin
Add a second admin, such as a trusted family member or colleague, on Admin → Users. If you lose access to your email, they can change your address for you. Laberty won't let anyone remove the last admin, so an account is never left with none.
When nothing else works
Contact support. You don't need to be signed in, and you can write from any device or email address. Tell us:
- The name of your Laberty account (for example, "Maple Street Bakery" or "Dana's Laberty").
- The email address the account uses, if you remember it.
- What you've lost, and what you've already tried.
Before we change anything on an account, we need to be sure it's yours, so we may ask you some questions first.
Never send us a recovery code, an authenticator code or a sign-in link. We don't need them, and we'll never ask for them.
We reply by email, usually within 1–2 business days.
